Cassells Insurance
Paul, Ena, and Bill Cassells know the scootering community and the motorcycle community. Aside from being the most friendly and personable place you can buy insurance, they offer optional scooter and motorcycle insurance.

This optional insurance is not only less expensive for many scooter and motorcycle riders, but the coverage is much better. For starters, it is based on agreed value of your bike. This means that if you insure your bike for $5000, and it is stolen, you’ll be given $5000 minus your deductible. Other items covered include:
- Emergency Roadside Service Expense
- Lock Rekeying
- Travel Protection
- $1,000 for Motorcycle Trailers
- $1,000 for Riding Gear included

This policy doesn’t make sense for everyone as there are age restrictions and a reasonably clean driving records is needed, however it’s very much worth looking in to.

This friendly store is THE place to go if you want to buy a Vespa, Piaggio, Derbi, or Aprilia brand scooter. Don’t be confused by the second Vespa store in Vancouver. This store is not run by the same group of people.

Richmond Motor Sport
This is a super store for motorcycles. They do also sell scooters, but I’d be the first to admit this is not the mainstay of their business. The reason I am listing them is that they have provided me with excellent service over the past 6 months. With my Suzuki Burgman, I have had several mechanical issues that relate back to poor part designs. Daniel in the Service department has gone out of his way to help me get things fixed when everyone else I contacted couldn’t deal with the issue. Their accessory section and their parts department is huge, and all the staff are friendly. It may not be the best place to go for a rock bottom deal, but you will get great service and great selection.
