Important Announcement - Please Read!

On January 1st, 2009 the VS forums database was lost. I have rebuilt the forums including new upgrades, but the data lost could not be recovered. Although this is a huge loss for all of us, I hope that you have it in your hearts to return once again to our forums and become a contributing member. Please register as a new user a post a message today to help get our community on it's feet again.

Information, Friends, and Resources

Welcome!

Welcome to the VancouverScootering Forums!

Founded in September of 2005, we are a free group of scooter enthusiast who welcome anyone, even motorcycles!

Currently, with over 400 users, and an active forum, we share everything from our maintenance tips to offering free safety classes for scooter riders. Whether you are interested in buying a scooter, interested in the people that ride them, have a scooter yourself, or have a motorcycle and want to join in the fun, please come on in.

Summer time is the time for rides and events. Join one of our countless organized and spontaneous rides put together by our members.

Aside from our active general scooter talk forum, we have other topic areas, such as: Maxi Scooters, Safety Information, Scooter Maintenance, Modifications, Buying & Selling your scooter, & Business Listings.

We continue to build our membership, and with the help of all of you, continue to build relationships with retailers and members of the scootering community for the benefit of both those businesses and our members.

Take a moment and join our forum, everything is free!

Vancouver to Nelson

Although this route is for a highway capable scooter, and probably a 400cc and higher one at that, this is a fantastic journey.
Roughly 650km, this is the best ride I have ever been on. I have done this trip several times and have so far not gotten tired of it.
I always do this trip with a stop-off in between. I recommend camping in Osoyoos for a relaxing evening.
Temperatures vary greatly throughout the ride no matter what time
of year you travel, so be prepared for all weather.

All Issues Resolved

I’m pleased to report that I’ve been able to resolve all issues.. The forums should now be working perfectly.

Post Authentication

The forum is currently set to require post approval for all posts submitted by registered users.  I am working on finding out where the permission has been set for this so that I can remove it.  Until then, please post as you normally would, and I will approve all posts ASAP.

New Updates

As part of the reinstallation process, I have updated the forum software to the latest version.  This should give you some extrea features and give us all extra stability.  I have also redone the main page for VancouverScootering.com.  The home page for VS is now a blog - making it easy for me to post events, updates, and links.  What do you want to see on the home page?

Forum Database

On January 1st, 2009, we suffered a major loss of information in our forum database.  Sadly this has meant that all forum posts have been deleted, with no recovery possible.

I have worked throughout the night the night to bring back the forums.  I know this is a huge loss of information and posts, and it represents a lot of time for a lot of people.  I hope that you will all come back to rejoin and bring out forums back to life!

Please let me know if I can help to make the forums better in any way!
